MBA For Africa Beneficiary Fund
Hello there,
I invite you to partner with the Creative Industries initiative For Africa to educate 500 Africans in music business management through the Music Business Academy for Africa 2024!
What started as a need for me to find the right staff in 2017 morphed into a vocational programme in 2020 as I realised that despite over 1,200 African universities, none offered music business management as a course.
This was difficult to comprehend, as African music was getting much attention and recognition worldwide. So, we decided to start something ourselves. This was the birth of the Music Business Academy for Africa in 2020, and it registered over 140 participants/students that year.
Our high-performing alumni have secured positions with industry giants like Audiomack, Boomplay, Mdundo, OneRPM, Sony Music Publishing, The Orchard, YouTube, Universal Music Group, and major African labels such as Mavin Records and Chocolate City.
Our alumni have also initiated successful ventures, including Doble Seis, Kulture Music, Durozy Music Publishing, and Synnex Entertainment, aligning with our overarching goal of fostering employment opportunities within the industry.
To celebrate our fifth consecutive programme, we plan to provide free music business education to five hundred (500) young people across English, French and Swahili-speaking countries in Africa for the 2024/2025 Music Business Academy for Africa programme cohort.
You can help us in two main ways:
1. Sponsoring the Beneficiaries Programme
This supports our quest to raise 100,000,000 Naira to sponsor 500 students (50% women) from Africa to the MBA for Africa programme this year. Sponsoring the MBA for Africa Programme.
2. We are looking for sponsors and partners for the MBA for Africa programme.
